Zorofin / Choose your screen
Looking for a
Jellyfin client?
Zorofin is a native Jellyfin client for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. It connects to a server you already use, with a dedicated interface for each screen. Here is where it fits—and what to check before choosing a client.
If you want a native Jellyfin app on iOS, iPadOS or tvOS, Zorofin is an option to consider. It requires your own server and includes no media subscription. iPhone/iPad version 1.0 is awaiting App Review. Apple TV is in closed beta.
Which operating systems does Zorofin support?
| Device | Minimum OS | Experience | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone | iOS 18 | Native touch interface | Awaiting App Review |
| iPad | iPadOS 18 | Native tablet interface | Awaiting App Review |
| Apple TV | tvOS 18 | Dedicated remote interface | Closed beta |
Mac, Apple Vision Pro, Android, Windows, Linux and smart-TV systems such as webOS are not part of Zorofin’s first public native release. A compatible Jellyfin web client can be a separate option. For clients on other platforms, see the Jellyfin project’s client directory.
What should I compare when choosing a Jellyfin client?
- Your device and OS: check the actual minimum version, input method and availability.
- Your media: test a representative movie and episode, audio tracks and subtitles. A codec label alone does not guarantee direct play on every device.
- Your server: check transcoding permissions, remote access and HTTPS connectivity.
- Your routine: try browsing, episode selection, pause, seeking and returning to a title.
- Optional features: distinguish built-in Jellyfin features from integrations that need additional services.
This guide describes Zorofin’s own scope. It is not an independent ranking of competing clients, and does not claim Zorofin is the best choice for every library.
Does Zorofin replace Jellyfin?
No. Jellyfin remains your media server: it supplies the library, account permissions and media streams. Zorofin is the app you browse and watch with. It does not install a server, host content or give access to someone else’s library.
Do Requests require Sonarr, Radarr or Seerr?
Core sign-in, browsing and playback do not require those services. Requests and related availability notifications need compatible request services and the user’s permissions. Server support also depends on optional server features. The client can be used without those integrations.
What is planned for the backend?
An optional modular backend/plugin is planned to enhance an existing setup or help with a guided fresh setup. It is not a released download, and it is not required to use the native client. We will publish its actual dependencies, supported integrations and setup guide when it is ready.
Where should I start?
Choose the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV guide. Then connect your own server and check release availability. Zorofin is independently developed by Vitality Labs LLC and is not affiliated with the Jellyfin project.
